NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University Baseball Trojans (25-20, 18-10 G-MAC) swept a pair of games against Ohio Valley University (9-37, 8-22 G-MAC) 7-2 and 3-2, on Thursday.

Trevecca celebrates senior day Friday with a 12:40 PM ceremony before the 1 PM scheduled start vs. Ohio Valley University. The teams will play a seven-inning game followed by a nine-inning game. The seniors include Sam Mang, Javier Lopez, Daniel Lankster, Braden Odom, Jake Roberson, Carrington Wilson, Clayton Moran, Jesse Peters, and Michael Brown.

Trevecca improves to 20-3 all-time against Ohio Valley with the two wins on Thursday the Trojans have won the last six in the series.

HOW IT HAPPENED

GAME ONE

Ohio Valley scored with a double in the first inning … OVU took a 2-0 lead for half an inning in the fifth before TNU gained a 3-2 lead off a pair of home runs … Braden Odom hit a two-run homer, his fourth of the season … Dalton Mauldin followed Odom up with a solo shot to left field … Odom brought in another run in the sixth when he singled in John O'Dwyer … the Trojans add three in the seventh behind a two-run single from Sam Mang … John O'Dwyer walked with the bases loaded to Bryant Goolsby to score … TNU took game one, 7-2.

GAME TWO

Ohio Valley opened game two as they did game one with a run in the top of the first inning … the Scots built on the lead with a run in the top of the fourth for a 2-0 lead … the Trojans plated three runs in the fourth for the game's final runs … Javier Lopez singled and moved to second a throwing error then scored when Bryant Goolsby singled down the left field line; Sam Mang followed with a double tying the game at 2-2 as Goolsby scored, after John O'Dwyer singled to move Mang to third Chandler Miller delivered a SAC fly to drive in Mang

Braden Odom and Dalton Mauldin both had three-hit games … Odom was 3-4 with three RBIs … Mauldin finished 3-5 with two runs scored and an RBI … Javier Lopez was 2-4 with a walk and run scored … Joseph McNamee drew three walks while Chandler Miller drew two … Jake Roberson threw an impressive seven innings … Roberson improved to 8-4 by striking out eight batters … Gideon McKeen and Tiger Cox both tossed an inning of relief and struck out a batter.
