NORTH CANTON, OH. - The Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball team (5-7, 3-5 G-MAC) fell to Great Midwest Athletic Conference opponent, Walsh University (8-7, 5-2 G-MAC), 3-0 (14-25, 16-25, 16-25) on Friday in the Cecchini Center.

Trevecca took the first point of the match, but quickly fell into an 8-4 hole … after a service ace by Claire Hindman (FR/Westfield, IN) at 6-10, the Cavaliers went on a 3-0 run to go up 13-6 … the Trojans responded with their own 3-0 run, 13-9 … the teams traded points before Walsh opened up a five point lead at 18-13 … the Cavaliers closed the set out on a 7-1 run from there … Walsh won set one, 25-14 … TNU took the first point of set two … Walsh secured the next three, 3-1 … neither team established a lead until Walsh used a 5-1 run to go up 9-4 … Walsh went up 11-5 which forced a Trevecca timeout … out of the timeout the Trojans took two of the next three points to trail 12-7 … the Cavaliers then went on a 4-1 run to go up 16-8 … the Trojans responded with a 4-1 run of their own to cut it to 18-13 … a 6-3 run allowed Walsh to close out the second set, 25-16 … for the third straight set, the Trojans took the first point … the third set was tied at 8-8 before Walsh took control for good … a 9-0 run was the difference in this set as Walsh held an 18-8 advantage … Trevecca got back within seven at 20-13 … but another 4-0 run closed off the Trojans rally … Walsh won the third set, 25-16 and the match.

Austyn Baldwin (FR/Kingston Springs, TN) led the Trojan attack with 7 kills and a .267 attack percentage … Claire Hindman added 10 digs and three service aces … Madison Clements (SO/Goshen, KY) (.333) and Madison Martin (FR/Martinsville, IN) (-0.59) contributed three kills each … Hannah Bornemann (FR/Oswego, IL) (9) and Leilani Victor (FR/Hudson, WI) (8) lead in assists.
