PARKERSBURG, W.Va. - The Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team (23-21, 13-9 G-MAC) completed a three-game series sweep of Great Midwest Athletic Conference games at Ohio Valley University (18-27, 7-17 G-MAC) with a 9-6 win Saturday at Bennett Stump Field.

SERIES HISTORY/NOTES: This was the 21st meeting between the two teams. Trevecca leads the all-time series 18-3. The Trojans have won the last four and seven of the last eight contests against the Fight Scots.

GAME CHRONICLE 

Trevecca scored first on a solo home run from Ethan Harrison in the top of the first, his 11th of the year … Trevecca added single runs in the fourth, fifth, and sixth innings for a 4-0 lead … the Scots plated a run in the sixth, but TNU added five in the top of the seventh for a 9-1 lead … the Scots put the win in doubt again with a run in the bottom of the seventh and a four-run eighth, but Trevecca closed out with a scoreless ninth for the win … Trevecca scored their nine runs on 12 hits and had one error

Ethan Harrison and Sam Mang each collected three hits in five at bats … Harrison added two doubles and a home run with two runs scored and two RBI … Mang produced a double, triple, two runs scored, and an RBI … Mason Jones added a home run and three RBI … Jake Roberson started and moved to 6-1 with the win, pitching five and two-thirds allowing four hits and a run while striking out seven … Tyler Koprowski locked down the win with a perfect ninth gaining his fourth save of the year ... Carter Wiseman reached on a double and a hit-by-pitch, scoring and driving in a run

WHATS NEXT

Trevecca hosts Davis & Elkins College Friday (6 PM) and Saturday (Noon, DH) at Jackson Field for the regular season finale and Senior Day (Saturday). Trevecca leads the series with D&E 16-1 all-time, but the Senators picked up their first win in the series last year. Trevecca won the last meeting in the series and won the first 15 in the series.
