NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball team (4-4) won their final match of the 7th Annual Scott Jones Classic @ Trevecca. The Trojans defeated future Great Midwest Athletic Conference foe Walsh University (3-4) 25-18, 24-26, 25-18, 25-15.

A special presentation was held before the Noon start as Michelle Arend Plummer, who held the Trevecca kills record for 15 years, presented Katelyn Atkinson with a commemorative ball in recognition of Atkinson breaking the career kills record on Friday. Arend Plummer had 1369 career kills while Atkinson now has 1398.

Trevecca returns to action on Tuesday at 6 PM when they host the University of Southern Indiana (5-3). Trevecca is 0-2 verses the Screaming Eagles. The two teams have played once in each of the last two seasons.

Clare Taylor topped out the kills list with 18 and created a double-double with 11 digs. Katelyn Atkinson added 16 kills and 12 digs while contributing four assists and two blocks. Hanna Matthews had 43 assists and nine digs. Ashleigh Lozier had 11 digs. Alex Reuter and Janessa Hodge each had six blocks.
