The Purple and White resume G-MAC conference play Friday (4PM) when they host Davis & Elkins College (6-16) for two games to start a four-game series. The Senators are playing their first conference games of the season. Saturday's double-header starts at Noon.

Micah Blount (SR/Birmingham, AL) hit a solo home run with two out in the bottom of the first inning to give the Trojans the lead, 1-0. He leads the team with six home runs on the season.

In the bottom of the second, North Alabama's Pitcher, Taylor Knight, gave two free passes to Trojan batters. He walked Clay Staton (JR/Franklin, TN) and hit Sam Mang (FR/Woodstock, GA) with a pitch. Ryan Arington (JR/Cincinnati, OH) made it count when he connected for a single to drive in Staton. Mang and Arington scored on an Ethan Harrison (FR/Erlanger, KY) single to increase the TNU lead to 4-0 after two innings.ÂÂ

Trevecca brought two more in during a two-run third inning, 6-0. Blake Shelton took a free pass to first and stole second before scoring on a Staton double. Zach Tompkins (SR/Mt. Juliet, TN), who singled prior, came home on an Arington sacrifice bunt.ÂÂ

UNA plated single runs in the fourth and sixth innings before TNU scored their final run in the seventh, a solo homer from Mang. The Lions combined for three in the eighth and ninth to make the Trojans sweat. Mason Dunn loaded the bases with one out before getting out of the jam with a strikeout of the last two batters.

Sam Mang was 2-for-3 with a double and a home run while scoring twice and collecting a RBI. Micah Blount was 2-for-4 with one run, one RBI, a home run, and a stolen base.ÂÂ

Jesse Peters (FR/Loveland, OH) (2-1) put in six innings of work averaging one strikeout per inning. He walked one in 26 batters faced and let two runs on eight hits. Christian Lohr (SO/Verona, KY) pitched 1.2 innings with one strikeout. Jake Roberson (FR/Springfield, TN) faced one batter to finish the eighth inning. Mason Dunn (SR/Goodlettsville, TN) pitched the final inning with two strikeouts for the save.
