Box Score 2 NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team (20-13, 11-1 G-MAC) defeated Davis & Elkins College (2-18, 0-8 G-MAC) 11-1 and 14-2, completing a four-game sweep of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference series at Jackson Field.

Trevecca will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to play Union University, a former TranSouth Athletic Conference foe. The Trojans will have a week between games following the trip to Jackson. They'll host another former TranSouth foe when they host Lee University on Tuesday, April 14.

The Trojans have won 11 G-MAC games in a row and outscored the Senators 66-5 combined over the four games.

GAME ONE
Bryan Smith (SO/Unionville, Tenn) (5-1) allowed just three hits and a single run over seven innings of work. He didn't allow a walk and had seven strikeouts.

The Senators scored their only run of the game in the top of the first. Trevecca doubled that with two in the bottom of the first. Trevecca plated five in the third and another four in the sixth for a 11-1 win.

Trevecca had 13 hits and three errors, Davis and Elkins had two errors.

Tyler Tichenor (JR/Centertown, Ky) (3-for-5) and Nick Kristinus (FR/Murfreesboro, Tenn.) (3-for-4) each had three-hit games. Tichenor scored a run, had a double, had a stolen base, and two RBI. Kristinus had two runs and an RBI.

GAME TWO
Trevecca jumped out to a 10-2 lead with two in the first, one in the third and seven in the third. They tacked on a run in the sixth and three in the seventh. D&E scored their two in the third. Trevecca tacked on another 18 hits and saw D&E get six hits and commit five errors.

Jared Jones (3-3) picked up the win with six innings of work. He allowed five hits and two runs – one earned, with three walks and five strikeouts.

Hunter Newman (JR/Chapmansboro, Tenn.) (3-for-5) and Nick Kristinus (4-for-5) led the effort. Newman had four RBI and three runs scored with a home run. Kristinus had two runs scored, an RBI, two doubles, and a stolen base. Bryson Shelton (SO/Powell, Tenn. ) was 2-for-5 with three runs scored, an RBI, and a double.
