Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca University (1-1) men's soccer team defeated Southern Indiana (1-1) in the 2014 home-opener.

The Trojan's will be back in action Friday, September 12 at 7 p.m. That match is a part of the Indiana Wesleyan University Fall Classic.

The Trojan's found the back of the net in the first minute of the match. Sophomore, Liam Roche (SO/Northhampton, England) picked up the ball off of a tackle in the box leaving him open for a shot, and goal.

"It was an incredible way to start, they had a chance and took it and finished it," said head coach, Danny Leavy, "It was a great way to start the game. "

Jeremiah Wright (SO/Columbia, Tenn.) would strike for Trevecca again in the 26th minute off of an assist from Bruno De Moraes (SR/Sau Paulo, Brazil) and Juan Egas (SR/Quito, Ecuador).

The Screaming Eagles were the more aggressive team, on paper, sending 14 shots on net, forcing senior keeper, Braydon Brown (SR/Brownsburg, Ind.) to make three saves to get the shutout.

"Braydon [Brown] did really well, that was one of his best performances that I've seen," said Leavy "He did a phenomenal job getting up there breaking up the plays in the air."

The Trojans took 10 shots in the match, six of which came in the second half.

The win moves Trevecca to 1-1 on the season. The Trojans will be back at the Trojan Soccer Complex Tuesday, September 16 to take on Asbury University at 6 p.m.
