NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Trevecca Nazarene men's soccer (4-6-1, 1-5 GSC) edged out Midway (3-8-1, 1-3 RSC) 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at the Trevecca Soccer Complex.
THE SERIES
With the result, the series between the two programs is now tied 1–1.
THE MATCH
Midway came out flying as Juan Caballero opened the scoring in just the second minute. Trevecca however responded immediately as
Luke Tedder finished a long ball just one minute after Midway's opening goal.
Connor Woulfe doubled the lead in the 41st minute, pushing in a rebound after Midway's keeper couldn't hold on to a
Phillip Collins strike.
Trevecca dominated statistically, outshooting Midway 29–12 and earning 14 corner kicks, but couldn't add to the tally in the second half. The defense held firm, allowing the Trojans to secure the win despite a late push from the visitors.
