MEMPHIS – The Trevecca Nazarene University Track and Field teams continued their outdoor season at the Rhodes Invitational hosted by Rhodes College at Crain Field. The team picked up six wins and a pair of second place finishes.
WOMEN
The women brought home three wins and a second place finish as well.
Samantha Roberts won the 5000 meter run (18:19.59), and she finished second in the 1 mile run (5:26.10).
Kyndal Chenault won the discus throw. Her throw of 36.01 meters is a new school record.
Campbell Johnson earned a win in the javelin throw (33.95m).
Molly Sims broke her school record with a throw of 32.92 meters in the hammer.

The men collected three wins with a second place finish as well.
The men collected a win in the 4x400 meter relay. The quartet of Isaac Temko, Jordan Halliday, Levi Bush, and Lucas Baggott combined to finish the relay in 3:24.48. The effort is a new outdoor school and all conditions record at that distance.
Dylan Brannen got the win in the discus throw (39.05m).
Lucas Baggott got another win in the 400 meter hurdles (55.64). His time breaks his own school record.
Dayton Floyd finished second in the 100 meter dash (11.24).
The foursome (two freshmen and a sophomore) of Kaleel Stewart, Levi Bush, Lucas Baggott, and Dayton Floyd set a new school record in the 4x100, crossing the line in 43.81.

Also this week, Camren Warner finished his first 3000m Steeplechase event of the year in a time of 9:16.02 at the Raleigh (NC) Relays hosted by NC State (03.23.23). The defending Great Midwest Steeplechase champion placed fourth in his section with a personal best time. His time is sixth best time in NCAA Division II this year and just four seconds off of a National Qualifier time. Warner competes next at the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invitational.
NEXT
The weekend of March 31-April 1, the Trojans are at the UAB Invitational hosted by the University of Alabama in Birmingham at the UAB Track And Field Complex.
April 7, the Trojans return to Memphis for the Rhodes 7 Way Meet. On Aprile 13-15, the Trojans head further west to the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calf. The final warm-up before the postseason is the EKU Rick Erdmann Twilight hosted by Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Ky.
The 2023 Great Midwest Outdoor Championships are May 3-5 in Ashland, Ohio.
