TIFFIN, Ohio - The Trevecca Nazarene University track and field team sent three student-athletes to the Reggie Thomas Classic at Tiffin University to recoup some events lost during the partial cancellations (snow) at the Jud Logan Light Giver Open hosted by Ashland University at their new Niss Athletic Center February 5. Lucas Baggott, Hannah Sims, and Molly Sims all competed this weekend. The trio competes in the multi-category during the indoor season - heptathlon and pentathlon.
Lucas Baggott recorded the most points for a Trojan in the Heptathlon with 3700 points, to finish eighth. His point total and overall finish were greatly enhanced by his second-place finish in the 1000m run. Luke Davis recorded 2709 points in 2018 at the G-MAC Championships. Baggott's 1000m time is the fourth-best in school history, Taylor Flemming holds the record (2:40.65 / at 2015 UAB Blazer Invite).
