HISTORY | TREVECCA VS. MONTEVALLO
Montevallo ended the Trojans' season last year in Oxford at the GSC Championships with a 9-5 win. Trevecca opened the tournament with a loss to No. 3 West Florida before defeating Lee for its first GSC postseason win.

Trevecca swept Montevallo in the regular season this year on the road in Montevallo. It marked the Trojans' third series of the season.

The Trojans have won 10 of the last 14 meetings, while the Falcons hold an 11-10 edge in the series since Trevecca joined the NCAA Division II ranks in 2013.

NEXT FOR TNU / MONTEVALLO WINNER
The winner advances to the round of six, which begins Saturday. The advancing team will face either No. 1 West Alabama (2:30 p.m.) or No. 2 Lee (6 p.m.), depending on results from the opening game.

The tournament opens at 11 a.m. Friday with No. 5 Delta State against No. 8 UAH. If Delta State wins, it will face Lee, while the Trevecca/Montevallo winner plays West Alabama. If UAH wins, it advances to face West Alabama, and the Trevecca/Montevallo winner will play Lee.

STARTED STRONG
After starting the season 1-3, the Trojans won eight consecutive games, including a sweep of Auburn Montgomery in their GSC-opening series.

Two weeks later, Trevecca added a seven-game winning streak, with four wins against top-15 opponents. The stretch began with a series win over No. 11 West Florida in Nashville. Trevecca followed with a three-game sweep at No. 1 North Greenville, completing a run of four consecutive wins over top-15 teams. The Trojans closed that stretch with a conference road sweep of Union in Jackson.

SEASON NOTES
Trevecca was picked eighth in the Gulf South Conference preseason coaches poll. Despite early injuries, the Trojans spent five weeks in the NCBWA Top 25, reaching as high as No. 10. Trevecca recorded five ranked wins and finished 5-3 against top-25 opponents.

The Trojans navigated early-season injuries, including the loss of shortstop Jacob Lester. Freshman Landon Rogers stepped into the role and produced a .288 batting average with three home runs, seven doubles and nine stolen bases entering postseason play.

Trevecca's offense developed into one of the most productive power units in the conference, hitting 55 home runs, the second-highest total in the GSC. Cade Martin emerged as a central figure in that production after moving into the designated hitter role early in the season.

The pitching staff ranks among national leaders, finishing 17th in strikeout-to-walk ratio (2.25) and 20th in strikeouts per nine innings (9.2). The staff enters postseason play four strikeouts shy of setting a new Division II-era single-season program record.

Ryan Sweeney leads the bullpen and is closing in on the program's single-season saves record.

Trevecca was a founding member of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference when the program transitioned to NCAA Division II and moved to the Gulf South Conference this season.

The Trojans have won six G-MAC regular-season titles and five G-MAC Tournament championships. The first five regular-season titles and the first three tournament championships were claimed by Trevecca.

MIDWEST REGIONAL
Trevecca has advanced to the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional twice in program history.

After winning the 2013, 2014 and 2015 Great Midwest Tournament titles, Trevecca did not receive an at-large berth, as the conference did not have an automatic bid. The Trojans secured their first NCAA postseason appearance by earning the automatic bid in 2021.

Trevecca went 4-1 at the 2021 Midwest Regional, winning the championship with a +14 run differential (37-23).

In 2024, Trevecca returned to the NCAA postseason after winning the Great Midwest Tournament. The Trojans defeated regional host Indianapolis in the opening game before dropping the next two games to conclude the season.
