NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University baseball junior right-hander Logan Harrell has been named Tennessee Sports Writers' Association (TSWA) Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season, earning the honor for the week ending Sunday, April 5, 2026.
Harrell delivered a defining performance in a high-pressure road matchup at No. 15 West Alabama, throwing a nine-inning complete game shutout in a 2-0 victory in the series finale. He allowed just two hits, issued no walks, and struck out five while facing 30 batters, three over the minimum with one reaching on an error. Harrell needed just 80 pitches, 60 for strikes, in a game that lasted just over two hours.
The Hendersonville, Tennessee, native recorded 11 ground ball outs and 10 fly ball outs, controlling the game throughout while matching up against another top arm in the region and handing him his first loss of the season.
Harrell improved to 7-1 on the season with a 2.97 ERA in 10 appearances, all starts. He has worked 60.2 innings, allowing 53 hits with 14 walks and 65 strikeouts, holding opponents to a .230 batting average.
Among Gulf South Conference leaders, Harrell, the Goodpasture Christian product, ranks No. 1 in wins, No. 2 in strikeout-to-walk ratio, and No. 4 in strikeouts. Nationally, in all of NCAA Division II, he ranks No. 5 in starts and is No. 9 in both wins and strikeouts.
Trevecca baseball continues its week with an in-state non-conference matchup at Carson-Newman in Jefferson City, Tennessee, with first pitch scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
The Trojans return home to Trojan Fieldhouse for a three-game Gulf South Conference series against Delta State beginning Friday at 5:00 p.m. Saturday's doubleheader with the Statesmen is scheduled to start at Noon.
