NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University junior outfielder Addy Grace Summers has been named Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Softball Player of the Week for the week ending April 26, 2026. It is the second time a Trojan has earned the award this season. Shay Hollingsworth was named the first TSWA Softball Player of the Week this season on February 10.
Summers batted .800, going 8-for-10 in three games against Lee University, with three multi-hit games, one home run and five RBI. She had three hits and two RBI in the series opener, added two hits in the second game and went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and three RBI in the series finale.
Summers is hitting .421 with four doubles, 11 RBI and nine runs scored in 21 games this season.
Her production has been part of Trevecca's late-season climb into the Gulf South Conference postseason field.
The Trojans opened the season 4-0, but started GSC play with five consecutive losses and later stood 8-10 overall and 4-10 in conference play. Trevecca has responded by winning eight of its next 11 games, securing series wins over Mississippi College, Alabama Huntsville, Christian Brothers and Delta State.
The Trojans also have taken at least one game in every conference series since the opening GSC series against Valdosta State. That stretch includes wins over nationally ranked GSC opponents West Florida, West Alabama, Montevallo and Mississippi College.
Trevecca has secured a spot in the 2026 Gulf South Conference Championships before its final regular-season series.
The Trojans host No. 8 Auburn Montgomery on Friday, May 1, for a 2 p.m. doubleheader, followed by a noon single game Saturday at the Trojan Softball Complex.
