Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team earned a dramatic Gulf South Conference victory Saturday morning, defeating No. 12 West Florida (18-4, 7-2) 6-5 on a walk-off home run at the Trevecca Softball Complex.
The Trojans (6-7, 2-7 GSC) rallied in the final inning to secure the series finale, highlighted by a historic moment from
Bailey Goad, who delivered the first home run of her collegiate career — a two-run walk-off blast — after also starting the game in the circle for Trevecca.

Trevecca struck quickly in the opening inning with an early offensive surge.
Shay Hollingsworth set the tone by leading off the game with a solo home run, giving the Trojans an immediate 1-0 lead. Later in the inning,
Annalise Mecklenburg followed with a two-run homer to left field, scoring
Brianna Asmondy and extending the advantage to 3-0.
West Florida responded with three runs in the third to even the game before taking a 5-3 lead in
the fifth inning. Trevecca's pitching staff held the line the rest of the way.
Bailey Goad started in the circle and worked 4.2 innings before
Parker Herrin recorded a key out in relief.
Haylie Brooks then closed the game with two scoreless innings, allowing no hits while striking out one to keep the Trojans within striking distance.
Trailing 5-3 entering the bottom of the seventh, Trevecca mounted its final rally. Sarah
Kinderdine opened the inning with a solo home run to right field, trimming the deficit to one run.

Madison Pruitt entered to pinch run,
Bailey Goad stepped to the plate and delivered the game's biggest moment. The Trojan pitcher
crushed a two-run home run to left field, scoring Pruitt and completing the walk-off comeback for a 6-5 Trevecca victory.
The home run marked the first of Goad's collegiate career and capped a standout performance in which she contributed both in the circle and at the plate.
