NASHVILLE — The Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team continues its rise in the national spotlight, earning recognition across multiple polls in this week's rankings.
The Trojans are ranked No. 11 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) national poll, marking a significant jump after entering the rankings at No. 23 last week — the program's first appearance in the NCBWA poll since 2022.
Trevecca also appears in two additional national polls, coming in at No. 18 in the D2 Baseball poll and No. 22 in the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) poll.
Regionally, the Trojans are ranked No. 2 in the latest NCBWA NCAA Division II South Region poll. It marks Trevecca's highest South Region ranking since joining the Gulf South Conference last season and matches the program's highest regional ranking in the Division II era, previously achieved in the Midwest Region while competing in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC).
The multi-poll recognition reflects Trevecca's strong start to the 2026 season, including key wins against nationally ranked competition.
Trevecca returns to Gulf South Conference play this weekend, hosting Mississippi College in a three-game series at Jackson Field.
The series begins Friday with a nine-inning game scheduled for 5 p.m., followed by a Saturday doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. The opener on Saturday will be a nine-inning contest, with the second game — a seven-inning matchup — tentatively slated for a 4 p.m. first pitch.
Mississippi College enters the weekend tied for third place in the Gulf South Conference standings with a 10-5 league record and a 16-11 overall mark. Trevecca sits atop the conference standings at 13-2 in league play and 21-7 overall.
In the Gulf South Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, Mississippi College was selected to finish third, while Trevecca was picked eighth.
All three games of the series are scheduled to be broadcast on FloCollege.
