NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team broke into the NCBWA NCAA Division II Top 25 for the first time this season at No. 23 in the March 11, 2026, poll.

Trevecca was last ranked in the NCBWA Division II Poll during the 2022 season, appearing at No. 13 in the May 11, 2022, poll. The NCBWA had the Trojans ranked No. 6 in the 2022 NCBWA Preseason Poll. The Trojans remained in the NCBWA Top 25 from the preseason poll through the final April 20, 2022, poll.

Earlier this week, momentum continued to build when the Trojans received a No. 4 ranking in the NCAA South Region power poll produced by the NCBWA.

The Trojans won three of four games last week, including taking two of three from No. 5 West Florida.

Now, the Trojans have won four in a row over top-five teams, beating No. 1 North Greenville on Tuesday and Wednesday in Tigerville, S.C.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

• On Feb. 18, Trevecca won the 1,500th game in program history. They did so in a doubleheader sweep of Auburn Montgomery at Jackson Field.
• Head Coach Chase Sain surpassed Trevecca Hall of Fame coach Bill Green to become fourth on the all-time wins list. Green started the baseball program at Trevecca.
• The Trojans have won three of four against teams ranked in the top five.
• After dropping the season-opening series 2-1 at Georgia Southwestern, the Trojans have won every series since.
• After beating No. 1 North Greenville, the Trojans have won eight of their last nine.

After starting the year 2-3, the Trojans won their next eight in a row and 12 of the next 14.
 
The Trojans secured their best NCBWA NCAA South Region ranking ever at No. 5 on March 2. Then topped that with the No. 4 ranking on March 9.
