Trevecca Baseball | Rylan Moses Named GSC Freshman of the Week

NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University baseball freshman Rylan Moses is the Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 9, 2026. The honor is presented by Athletic Solutions.

It is the second time the Trojan has earned the award this season, previously he was selected for the week ending Feb. 10.

Moses, a freshman from Portland, Tenn., helped lead the Trojans to a 3-1 week, including a 2-1 series win over ABCA No. 5 West Florida and a midweek victory over Carson-Newman. The Goodpasture Christian product hit .385 (5-for-13) with four runs scored, one double, one home run and five RBI while posting a .692 slugging percentage and a .529 on-base percentage. Moses also drew three walks and was hit by a pitch.

Defensively, the center fielder played flawless defense, highlighted by a spectacular running catch in center field that ended an inning and halted an Argonaut scoring threat, helping secure a Trojan victory.

Trevecca, picked eighth in the GSC preseason poll, is tied for first in the conference standings at 10-2. The Trojans have won all four GSC series this season — West Florida (2-1), Valdosta State (2-1), Montevallo (3-0) and Auburn Montgomery (3-0).
