NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University baseball junior hurler Logan Harrell is the Tennessee Sports Writers' Association (TSWA) Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 9, 2026.

Harrell earned the honor after leading Trevecca to a series win over ABCA No. 5 West Florida. The Hendersonville, Tennessee, native tossed eight innings in a 5-1 victory, allowing just one run on five hits while striking out eight and issuing no walks.

West Florida scored its only run on a lead off home run to start the game. Harrell settled in from there, retiring the side in order in the third, fifth and eighth innings while allowing only two other Argonaut runners to reach second base.

Harrell improved to 4-1 on the season in six appearances, all starts. The junior right-hander has struck out 37 batters in 32.1 innings and currently leads the Gulf South Conference in wins and starts.

Trevecca went 3-1 during the week, taking a 2-1 series win over West Florida, the preseason favorite to win the Gulf South Conference, and adding a midweek victory over Carson-Newman.

Trevecca, picked eighth in the GSC preseason poll, is tied for first in the conference standings at 10-2. The Trojans have won all four GSC series this season — West Florida (2-1), Valdosta State (2-1), Montevallo (3-0) and Auburn Montgomery (3-0).

The Trojans are starting to be noticed. TNU moved up this week to No. 4 in this week's NCBWA NCAA South Region rankings and are No. 28 in this week's ABCA NCAA Division II Baseball Poll.
