NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University basketball and Trevecca's Walden Club invite you to join the on Thursday, February 19, 2026 when they will celebrate Black History Month while hosting a key Gulf South Conference basketball doubleheader against Mississippi College inside Trojan Fieldhouse.
The women's game tips at 5:30 PM, followed by the men's game at 7:30 PM.
The evening features a special Black History Month celebration, sponsored by Trevecca's Walden Club during the men's basketball game. This night highlights Black History, community, and recognizing those who built Trevecca Basketball.
As part of the celebration, Trevecca basketball alumni are invited back to campus to reconnect, enjoy refreshments in the balcony, and take part in a special halftime program, which will include a Black History Month contest and a brief Q&A segment.

About the Walden Club
The Walden Club is Trevecca's African American student-led organization, founded in 2017. Named after Walden College, a historic institution that once stood on the land where Trevecca's campus now resides, the club honors a powerful legacy.
Walden College was founded to educate formerly enslaved individuals and played a key role in the establishment of Meharry Medical College, one of the nation's most important historically Black medical institutions.
Today, the Walden Club serves as a cultural, social, and leadership hub for African American students while also supporting and uplifting Trevecca's surrounding community.
Trevecca faculty member Iris Gordon, one of the founders of the Walden Club, currently serves as the organization's faculty advisor.
This Black History Month celebration promises to be a powerful night of competition, reflection, and unity. Fans, alumni, students, and community members are encouraged to attend, cheer on the Trojans, and be part of a night that honors history while celebrating the present.
