NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University senior middle blocker Katilyn Grant has been named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, after delivering double-figure kills in all three Gulf South Conference matches and reaching two more career and season milestones.
Grant is the second Trojan to earn the honor this season. Brynne Krangnes was named the TSWA Player of the Week on September 29.
Grant totaled 39 kills while hitting .352 across ten sets against Alabama Huntsville, Valdosta State and Auburn Montgomery. The five-foot-ten senior from Alabaster, Ala., averaged 3.90 kills and 4.30 points per set, finishing with 43 points and seven blocks. She committed only eight attack errors in 88 attempts.
Grant opened the week with 16 kills and a .371 hitting percentage at UAH on Oct. 13, adding two blocks and 17 points. She followed with 13 kills, two blocks and 14 points against Valdosta State on Oct. 16, passing 600 career kills in a Trevecca uniform.
She closed the week by hitting .444 with ten kills, three blocks and 12 points in Saturday's 3-0 victory over AUM. Grant was the only Trojan with double-figure kills as Trevecca won 25-20, 28-26, 25-6, improving to 11-11 overall and 8-4 in the GSC.
