Box Score CLINTON, Miss. – When a team needs to bounce back after a tough defeat, typically the big names are asked to take the lead. On Saturday for the Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball squad, that meant the Trojans looked to Kayla Bullard and Katilyn Grant.
The duo combined for 20 kills in the match, as the Trojans (10-9, 7-2 GSC) kept pace with West Alabama and Alabama-Huntsville in the Gulf South Conference race with a four set win over Mississippi Christian University (7-14, 4-5 GSC).
Trevecca's win featured another individual milestone, as Brynne Krangnes surpassed the 600 assist mark for her collegiate career. She now has a total of 622 assists, with 587 of those coming this season at Trevecca.
The Trojans win also keeps them within a single game of the lead in the GSC as the season reaches the halfway point. The Trojans are one game behind the Tigers of UWA and the UAH Chargers. Trevecca will open the second half of the conference slate on Tuesday with a trip to UAH.
