VALDOSTA, Ga. – The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) released its 2025 NCAA South Region Team and Trevecca Nazarene University senior pitcher Ashlan Sensing and junior infielder Brianna Asmondy both made the first team.
It is the first season for Trevecca in the Gulf South Conference and the NCAA South Region. The Trojans were members of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference through the 2023-24 season, which is in the Midwest Region.
Sensing, who was also named the 2025 Gulf South Conference Pitcher of the Year, capped off her senior season as one of the most dominant arms in the region. She earned Midwest Region and All-American honors last season.

Asmondy, who split time between pitching in the circle and hitting her first two seasons, focused on hitting this year with outstanding results.

ABOUT ASHLAN SENSING
Sensing, a Dickson, Tenn. native is Trevecca's all-time leader in wins (82), appearances (130), complete games (91), innings pitched (755.1), and strikeouts (728). Nationally, she is also the NCAA Division II active career leader in wins, starts, innings pitched, and shutouts.
In the Trojans' first season in the Gulf South Conference, Sensing ranked third in the GSC in ERA (1.66), second in wins (21-10), second in complete games (26), and third in innings pitched (210.2). She also held opponents to a .200 batting average—second-best in the league—and struck out 167 batters, ranking third in the conference.
A two-time All-American, Sensing earned NFCA Pitcher of the Week honors twice this season (March 18 and April 15) and was named GSC Pitcher of the Week twice as well (February 4 and March 4). She has also been recognized seven times in her career as Tennessee Sports Writers Association Pitcher of the Week.
ABOUT BRIANNA ASMONDY
Asmondy, a junior from Springfield, Tenn., ranked third in the league in slugging percentage (.740) and OPS (1.169), while also ranking third in home runs (14) and ninth in runs batted in (36).
In Trevecca's series at Valdosta State early in the conference season, Brianna Asmondy, tipped her hand with five home runs and earned the NFCA National Player of the Week and Gulf South Player of the Week honors. She also made the Gul South All-Conference First Team.
Asmondy led the Trojans in nearly every batting category including - batting average (.339), slugging percentage (.740), OPS (1.169), home runs (14), RBI (36), games started (47), total bases (94), walks (16), hit by pitch (4), and on base percentage (.429). She added 23 runs, nine doubles and five sacrifice hits.
