NASHVILLE – Two Trevecca Nazarene University baseball players earned spots on the 2025 Gulf South Conference Baseball All-Conference First Team, as announced Wednesday morning. Seniors
Joey Parliment Cole McCallum were both honored for their standout seasons ahead of the Trojans' postseason appearance.
ABOUT JOEY PARLIMENT
Parliment, a senior second baseman from Gordonsville, Tenn., finished the regular season ranked eighth in the Gulf South Conference in batting average (.374), fifth in slugging percentage (.659), seventh in OPS (1.093), fifth in runs scored (52), seventh in hits (68), and fourth in home runs (14).
In the regular-season series against Union, Parliment delivered one of the best individual weeks of the season. He batted .643 with nine hits, six runs, eight RBI, and three home runs—including a walk-off single in the bottom of the 11th inning to clinch the series. His weekly slugging percentage reached 1.286 with an on-base percentage of .667.
For that performance, Parliment was named both the Gulf South Conference Player of the Week and the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Player of the Week. It added to a resume that already includes All-American honors.
Parliment also tied the NCAA career home run record at Trevecca in the Trojan's last regular season series against Lee (Apr. 26).
ABOUT COLE MCCALLUM
McCallum, a senior first baseman Medina, Tenn., provided consistency and power throughout the season. He finished fifth in the Gulf South Conference in batting average (.380), seventh in slugging percentage (.627), and eighth in OPS (1.062). He led the conference with 18 doubles and also contributed seven home runs, 64 hits, and 35 RBI.
2025 GSC CHAMPIONSHIP - NEXT ON THE DIAMOND
The Trevecca baseball team enters the 2025 Gulf South Conference Baseball Championship as the No. 6 seed. They will open the tournament against No. 3 seed West Florida (31-17, 22-11 GSC) on Friday at 10:00 a.m. from Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala.
The Trojans dropped all three games against the Argonauts in their regular season meeting earlier this year.
