NASHVILLE – Two Trevecca Nazarene University softball players earned 2025 Gulf South Conference Softball yearly awards on Wednesday, hours ahead of the Trojans first GSC Postseason game. Ashlan Sensing, a senior from Dickson, Tenn., and Brianna Asmondy, a junior from Springfield, Tenn., both made the 2025 GSC All-Conference First Team. Sensing is the 2025 Gulf South Pitcher of the Year.
The duo and the rest of the eight-seeded Trojans (27-17, 16-17 GSC) open their first Gulf South Conference postseason championships against the top-seeded No. 6 (NFCA) Auburn University in Montgomery (34-10, 25-8 GSC). The eight-team, double-elimination tournament is scheduled for April 30–May 3 at Choccolocco Park in Oxford, Ala.
ABOUT ASHLAN SENSING
Ashlan Sensing was the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Pitcher of the year in 2024. This is the fourth time Sensing has made an all-conference first team.
The senior is the Trevecca career leader in wins (81), appearances (127), complete games 88, innings pitched (736.1), and strikeouts (715). Sensing is on pace to become the career leader in ERA.
Sensing is also the No. 1 active career leader among all NCAA Division II softball players for wins, starts, innings pitched, and shutouts.
In the circle, Ashlan Sensing ranks third in the GSC in ERA (1.68), wins (20), complete games (22), innings pitched (191.2), and opponent batting average (.198).
Sensing is a two-time All-American.
She has been a conference pitcher of the week ten (10) times in her career - seven G-MAC / three GSC. She's now been named the Tennessee Sports Writer's Association Pitcher of the Week seven (7) times.
ABOUT BRIANNA ASMONDY
Brianna Asmondy enters the Gulf South Conference Championships ranked third in the league in slugging percentage (.708) and OPS (1.128), while also ranking third in home runs (12) and ninth in runs batted in (34).
In the series at Valdosta State, Brianna Asmondy hit five home runs and earned the NFCA National Player of the Week honor.
Asmondy is leading the Trojans with a .333 batting average and has 21 runs, nine doubles, 12 home runs, 34 RBI, a .708 slugging percentage, and a .420 on base percentage.

SEASON NOTES
The Trojans started the season ranked No. 17 in the NFCA Division II Poll and rose to No. 9 after a 9-0 start to the season with wins over No. 3 UIndy, McKendree, Young Harris, and Lincoln Memorial.
Now the Trojans open their first Gulf South postseason against the top seed and No. 6 Auburn Montgomery.
