NASHVILLE – The Gulf South Conference announced on Tuesday their pitcher of the week for the week ending Sunday, April 27, 2025 is Trevecca Nazarene University sophomore Ryan Sweeney.
Sweeney picked up a win in the third game of the Trojans crucial series at Lee University on Sunday. Sweeney, a product of Centennial High School in Franklin, Tennessee, hurled six shutout innings with six strikeouts to earn the win. The five-foot-ten right hander held the Flame batters to just five hits.
Sweeney is 3-1 on the season and his game three win helped the Trojans earn the sixth seed in the upcoming Gulf South Championships.
