HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE – TNU 8, LEE 6
The final regular season series of the 2025 campaign got off to a hot start for the Trojans.
Cade Moore led the game off with a solo home run to left field and it was all Trevecca from there. Back-to-back one out singles scored runs and the Trojans took a 3-0 advantage before playing defense. After holding the Flames to a single hit in both the first and second frames, and putting just one on base in the second themselves, the Trojans struck again in the third. A fielding error with runners on the corners brought in
Luke Dymond before Moore drew a bases loaded walk to make it 5-0. Lee used a sacrifice fly in the bottom half of the inning to plate its first run of the day.
The Trojans doused the Flames' run with a sacrifice fly of their own in the fourth while both sides were sat down quietly in the fifth. Lee got its second run of the opener in the sixth. An RBI single up the middle made 6-2 Trojans. Both sides collected a single base knock in the seventh before the Trojans added some eighth inning insurance runs.
Joey Parliment led the inning off with a single to right before
Cole McCallum's bat found a ball that landed over the left center field wall for his seventh home run of the season. After Lee left two on in the bottom of the eighth, the Trojans allowed four runs in the ninth, but held on for the 8-6 victory.
