CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team (22-25, 17-16 GSC) closed the 2025 regular season with a 9-4 win over Lee University (24-24, 16-17 GSC) on Saturday afternoon at Larry Carpenter Stadium.

With the win, Trevecca claims the regular season series over Lee, now leading the all-time matchup 4-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Trevecca wasted no time taking control, striking for four runs in the opening inning.
Brett Dingess highlighted the frame with a two-run homer, while
Frankie Carreras added an RBI single, and
Noah Boughton drove in a run with a sacrifice fly.
The Trojans kept the pressure on, scoring once in the second on a Dingess RBI single and three more in the third thanks to solo homers from
Brady Maciak and
Noah Boughton, and an RBI double by
Cade Moore. Carreras later plated another run with an RBI double in the fourth.
Lee fought back with a pair of runs in both the seventh and eighth innings, but Trevecca's early scoring burst proved enough to comfortably close out the series with a win.
CIRCLE AND BOX NOTES
- Ryan Sweeney (W, 3-1) tossed six shutout innings, allowing just five hits with six strikeouts.
- Brett Dingess went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.
- Cade Moore delivered a 3-for-5 performance with a double and an RBI.
- Brady Maciak and Noah Boughton each homered in the win, with Boughton adding two RBI.
NEXT ON THE DIAMOND
The Trojans, who secured a postseason berth on Friday, will enter next week's Gulf South Conference Tournament as the No. 6 seed and will face No. 3 seed West Florida (31-17, 22-11 GSC) in the opening round next Friday (May 2).
