NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University senior Cade Moore earned the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) College Baseball Player of the Week honor this week after putting together a strong run over the last four games, leading the Trojans to a 4-0 week and winning three of their last four Gulf South Conference series.
Three other Trojans have been honored this season by the TSWA. Joey Parliment was named the TSWA Player of the Week on March 18. Brianna Asmondy was named the softball player of the week on February 25 and Ashlan Sensing pitched her way to the TSWA Pitcher of the Week honor on March 18.
Moore, a Terre Haute, Ind., product, batted .444 on the week as he also collected a .474 on-base percentage and a 1.111 slugging percentage. For the week, he was 8-for-18 at the plate with seven total RBI and six runs scored.
He had his best game of the week in the opener against Alabama-Huntsville as he was 4-for-5 at the plate with four runs scored, five RBI and three home runs. Moore also went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the finale.
