Ashlan Sensing has been selected as the Gulf South Conference Pitcher for the third time this season.
Sensing completed a 3-0 week with a stellar 0.74 earned run average, as the right hander picked up all three wins in the sweep of Delta State on the road.
The Dickson, Tennessee native tossed 19 innings which included two complete games while allowing just seven hits and two earned runs helping to vault the Trojans into eighth place in the league.
Sensing, who leads the Gulf South in wins (20) and complete games (21), struck out 11 over the weekend, limiting opponents to just a .109 batting average.
Sensing who has also collected conference player of the week honors on February 4 and March 5 this season, was named to the NFCA Pitcher of the Year Watchlist on March 28 and has also garnered Tennessee Sports Writer's Associations pitcher of the week for March 20.
Sensing, who leads all NCAA Division II active pitchers in career wins, strikeouts, complete games, and shutouts – also recently became the school's all-time leader in strikeouts and shutouts.
