MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team (4-5, 2-1 GSC) closed up its first-ever Gulf South Conference series at the AUM Baseball Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Trevecca defeated Auburn University Montgomery (4-6, 1-2 GSC) 11-8 in 10 innings to take its first-ever Gulf South Conference series.

The Warhawks command a 11-9 all-time advantage in the series since 2003.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Nine of the game's 18 runs were scored in the first two innings. The Trojans got on board first with a two-run frame.
Cole McCallum singled in the opening run while
Brady Maciak drew a walk to bring home the second. A sacrifice fly by AUM sliced the Trojan lead in half in the bottom of the first. Trevecca added three runs in the second. First,
Brett Dingess sent a ball to center field to score
Cade Moore off a sacrifice fly. Then, McCallum blasted a ball to left to make it 5-1 Trevecca. The Warhawks received a pair of solo shots in the bottom half of the frame to close the nine-run stretch.
Both sides combined for five hits over the next three scoreless innings before AUM pushed ahead in the bottom of the sixth. A run scoring triple, followed by a double and then single gave the hosts a 6-5 advantage through six complete. AUM added an insurance run in the seventh with an RBI single to left field. Maciak poked a ball to center to tie things at 7-7 in the eighth before
Noah Boughton's single to center gave the Trojans the lead.
A lead-off home run in the ninth, ended up forcing extra innings as AUM had bases loaded with just one out and reliever
Nick Judd got out of the jam with a strike out and ground out.
Luke Dymond returned the favor in the top of the tenth with a solo shot to left, his second of the season, to lead things off.
Cade Moore's double scored
Jacob Lester and gave the Trojans a two-run lead heading into the bottom of the tenth. Moore later scored off a
Carter Warner single to right, making it 11-8 Trojans. AUM was sat down in order in the tenth.

Nick Judd (1-2) was the pitcher of record as he tossed the final four innings. He struck out six and allowed just two runs in the outing in which he gave up five hits.
