NASHVILLE – Fred Bailey, a freshman guard on the Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team, is the Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 16, 2025.
The six-foot-two Nashville native averaged 13 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game over the initial two games of his collegiate basketball career. The Trojans split their two opening week games in the Robert Garrett Crossover Classic at Trojan Fieldhouse.
The JPII product scored 11 points in his collegiate debut against Palm Beach Atlantic. He threatened a triple double, adding eight (8) rebounds and seven (7) assists.
In Trevecca win over Embry-Riddle, he posted 15 points while shooting 4-5 from field and 7-8 from the line
For the week, he shot 50% (8-16) from the field and 10-12 (83.3%) from the foul line.
Bailey, who played for Trevecca men's basketball alum Charles Wade at JPII, helped the Trojans secure the first win in the coach Nate Moran era.
Trevecca hosts a special game "Education Day" game vs. Oakwood on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 11:00 AM at the Trojan Fieldhouse.
