NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University volleyball standout Addison Cunnagin, a sophomore right-side hitter, has been named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association (TSWA) Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, October 5, 2025.
Cunnagin played a key role in leading the Trojans to a perfect 3-0 week, keeping Trevecca unbeaten in Gulf South Conference play at 6-0. The Trojans are currently one of only two teams at the top of the GSC standings with an unblemished league record.
The Somerset, Kentucky native turned in a dominant week with a pair of double-doubles while producing double-digit kills in all three matches. She tallied 14 kills and 13 digs while hitting .429 against Mississippi College, then followed with 14 kills, four service aces, and two blocks versus Lee University. Cunnagin capped the week with 10 kills and 11 digs in Trevecca's win over West Alabama.
A graduate of Somerset Christian High School, Cunnagin currently leads the Gulf South Conference in four statistical categories during league play — hitting percentage, kills per set, aces per set, and total points.
Trevecca is off to its best overall start in the NCAA Division II era (since 2013) with a 12-3 record, including a 6-0 conference mark, the program's second-best GSC start. The only better opening stretch came in 2016, when the Trojans began 7-0 in league play.
For the week, Cunnagin totaled 38 kills (3.45 per set) on a .349 attack percentage, along with eight aces, 29 digs, and 48.5 total points.
