(
GSC Poll Release / Preseason Preview)
The preseason poll for the GLVC and G-MAC were not released at the time of the writing of this story.
Last season in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, Trevecca won their final appearance in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference regular season with a 23-3 mark. Trevecca, who finished 46-15 last year, won four G-MAC tournament championships in their time in the league. Trevecca moved on to host their first NCAA Division II Midwest Regional.
Ohio Dominican, who recorded a 35-14 overall record, has been a power in the league for several years now and finished third in the G-MAC last season. The Panthers were 19-7 in G-MAC games. Cedarville, who tallied a 24-31 overall record, advanced to within a game of the G-MAC Finals. The Yellow Jackets were 15-11 in G-MAC games. Ashland finished 19-29 in 2024 and were 12-14 in league contests.
In the GLVC last season, UIndy won the GLVC regular season title with a 25-1 mark and finished runner-up in the GLVC Championship. The Hounds finished 60-7 overall and hosted the other NCAA Division II Midwest Regional.
McKendree finished 36-22, and the Bearcats finished 16-10 in the GLVC, which was good enough for fourth in the league. They finished a game short of the GLVC Tournament finals. UMSL finished just behind the Bearcats in fifth with a 28-27 overall mark and 14-12 in the league. McKendree eliminated the Tritons in the GLVC Semifinals. UIS finished 28-26 last year and ninth in the GLVC with a 12-14 mark.
Trevecca and UIndy advanced to the NCAA Division II Midwest Super Regional. The Hounds hosted the Trojans for the best of three series. UIndy won the rain-soaked opener, and the Trojans extended the series, winning the second game. The Hounds took the rubber game and the super regional title and punched their ticket to the final eight.
At the NCAA Division II Championships in Longwood, Florida, the Hounds won their first two games before ending the season with two losses to Western Washington, a game short of the best-of-three finals.
