NASHVILLE – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association released its 2025 preseason Top 25 Coaches Poll presented by GoRout on Wednesday with the Trevecca Nazarene University softball team tabbed #17.
Trevecca, who finished the
2024 season ranked #16 in the final NFCA poll, comes in just one spot lower in the preseason poll to kick-start 2025.
Ready to embark on their first season in the Gulf South Conference, the Trojans mark the third GSC member to be ranked nationally in the preseason. Auburn University Montgomery just nearly cracked into the top-5 nationally at #6 while Mississippi College is outside looking in at a top-10 spot with the #12 ranking.
Trevecca is also one of three Nazarene schools to make the cut in the top-25, taking top bragging rights over both Northwest Nazarene (#18) and Southern Nazarene (#20).

The 2025 campaign is sure to bring excitement as the Trojans return Great Midwest Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-Conference arm
Ashlan Sensing as well as G-MAC Freshman of the Year
Annabelle Ellis and a First Team All-Conference designated player in
Addy Grace Summers.
In 2024, the Trojans recorded their 24th consecutive winning season, dating back to the 2000-01 season. The first winning season came in the Trojans first season, 22-20, in 1991-92, but the next winning campaign didn't come until the 2000-01 season and the program continued that winning tradition again with the 2023-24 season.
The 2024 season ended with Trevecca advancing to the school's first-ever NCAA Super Regional after storming through the program's first hosted NCAA Midwest Regional by allowing only three runs. Trevecca pushed the #2 ranked University of Indianapolis to three games.
Trevecca's 47 wins in 2024 ties the 2006 squad for the fourth-most wins in program history and eclipses by two the wins record set in 2016 for a NCAA Div. II team.
