NASHVILLE - The Trevecca Nazarene University baseball team placed three Trojans on the 2024 National College Baseball Writers Association NCAA Division II Midwest Region team. Caleb Marks is the 2024 NCBWA Midwest Pitcher of the Year and is on the All-Region First Team. Joey Parliment is on the first team and Haven Mangrum is a second team selection.
Â
The Trojans, who finished the year 33-23, won 2024 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships in their final trip to the championships at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio. The Trojans claimed their fifth overall championship, by far the most in league history. Next season the Trojans move to the Gulf South Conference.Â
The Trojans advanced to the NCAA Div. II Midwest Regional for the second time and the first time since 2021.
Â
After winning the 2013, 2014, and 2015 Great Midwest tournament titles, the Trojans did not advance because the Great Midwest, a new league in provisional status, didn't have an automatic bid and the Trojans, also a new member in NCAA Division II, were not eligible for an at large bid.
