Trevecca Softball | Four More Honors for the Trojans; D2CCA Midwest All-Region

NASHVILLE - Four Trevecca Nazarene University softball players made the 2024 D2CCA All-Midwest Region First Team. Senior Kendall Andrews and junior Ashlan Sensing are on the first team while senior Anna Bennett and freshman Addy Grace Summers made the second team.

ASHLAN SENSING | P - JR - 5-6 - Dickson, TN / Dickson HS

Sensing made first-team all-region and collected the pitcher of the year and first team honors in the Great Midwest with a league-best 1.20 earned run average. The three-time Great Midwest honoree. Additionally, she earned NFCA All-Region First Team honors.

Sensing, in addition to her historic pitching numbers, is also carrying a strong bat this season. Sensing is hitting .364 on the year with four doubles and three home runs. She's driven in 22 runs.

In the circle, Sensing has a 1.20 earned run average and a 25-8 overall record. She has 27 complete games and 11 shutouts. She's hurled 204 innings and allowed just 35 earned runs. She struck out 238 against just 28 walks. Opponents are hitting .201 against her.

The junior collected four conference Pitcher of the Week awards throughout the season and added three additional TSWA Pitcher of the Week selections.

She is first or second in almost every pitching statistical category in Trevecca's NCAA Division II era.

KENDALL ANDREWS | C - SR - 5-7 Murfreesboro, TN / Blackman HS / UT Chattanooga

Andrews made first-team all-region and has a batting average of (.400) which is the second highest in the Great Midwest. She was named the Great Midwest Player of the Year and selected to the all-conference first team. Additionally, she earned NFCA All-Region First Team honors. She made the NFCA Tucci Player of the Year Watch List.

Andrews impressive offensive stats this season are exhaustive. She's near or at the top of several categories for the Trojans and in the Great Midwest. She ranks nationally in a number of categories as well.

This season, Andrews has 59 runs scored, 14 doubles, four triples, 15 home runs, 66 RBI, and is 48 of 49 on her stolen base attempts. Her slugging percentage is .783 and her on-base-percentage is .527.

She has set the Great Midwest record for RBI and Walks in a season.

In the Great Midwest, she ranks at the top in home runs, runs scored, RBI, stolen bases, on-base-percentage, and walks. The Murfreesboro native is second in hits, OPS while sitting third in slugging percentage. The UT Chattanooga transfer is fourth in the league in batting average, doubles while ranking fifth in triples.

Andrews was selected twice by both the Great Midwest and in Tennessee Sports Writer's Association (TWSA) as the Player of the Week.

ADDY GRACE SUMMERS | DP - FR - 5-7 - Nashville, TN / Christ Presbyterian Acad.

The second-team selection was named first-team All-Great Midwest and made the NFCA All-Region team as well.

She's hitting .398 on the year with 27 runs, five doubles, and 17 RBI. She's successfully stolen six bases in seven tries. She has an impressive on-base plus slugging percentage at (.914) and (7) sacrifice hits.

In the Great Midwest, she ranks fifth in hitting, sixth in sacrifice bunts, seventh in on-base-percentage,

ANNA BENNETT | OF - SR - 5-6 - Lebanon, TN / Lebanon HS

Bennett is on the second-team all-region with a league-most 54 runs.

Bennett leads the Great Midwest in triples and has 10 doubles, six triples, three home runs, and 31 RBI. She's successfully stolen 13 bases in 15 attempts. She's earned a .449 on-base-percentage with 27 walks drawn.

In the Great Midwest, she leads the league in hits, at bats, and triples and is second in runs scored. The senior comes in fourth in walks, seventh in on-base-percentage, eighth in batting average and is tenth in slugging percentage and OPS.
