OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's golf team concluded play at their final Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships on Tuesday at The Pearl Club.
Maddox Burton leads the Trojan effort with a team-low 149 through 36-holes on Monday and added his fourth par-or-better round of the year in the second round. Burton finished with a 77-72-74=223 and tied for 17th.
The team shot 312-303-308=923, finishing 12th of 13 teams. The Trojans tied for the most eagles in the field with three. Maddox Burton carded two on the championship, tying for the most individual eagles. William Moser had the other Trojan eagle.
The Trojans play the third round on Tuesday morning and look to move of the standings.

MADDOX BURTON
The Irving, Texas native recorded two eagles during the championship. The first came in the second round when he eagled hole No. 10, a 355-yard par-four. In Tuesday's final round, he eagled hole No. 6, a 55-yard par-five.
In addition to the two eagles, the freshman collected seven birdies - two birdies in the first round, four in the second round, and one in the third round.
His team low performance got a boost with his three-under on the back nine during Monday afternoon's second round.
His second round even-par 72 is his fourth par-or-better round of the year.
Burton tied for the low total on the par three holes at one-over-par and a 3.08 average.
His five-under-par (4.58 per hole average) total on the par five holes was fifth best in the field.

ALEX HAMM
Hamm was the low Trojan in Monday's first round with a pair of birdies and 11 pars.
In the second round, on Monday afternoon, the Father Ryan High School graduate, added a birdie and was one-under-par on the back nine.
His birdie total reached five with two additional birdies in the third round on Tuesday.
Hamm led the field with a one-over total on the championship and a 3.08 average.
He recorded the tenth most pars for the championship with 34.

WILLIAMS MOSER
The Cal Lutheran transfer recorded the Trojans second eagle of the championships. He eagled hole No. 6, a 555-yard par-five.
In addition to the eagle, Moser led the team with nine total birdies, writing down three in Monday's morning round, five in Monday's afternoon round, then one more during Tuesday's third round.
His nine birdies were the fourthteenth most in the field.
The junior's even-par 72 in the second round is his third par-or-better round of the year.

CAMERON FLETCHER-SMITH
The McKendree transfer scored a birdie in the first and second rounds on Monday before adding two in the final round.
The senior finished with four birdies on the championship.
