LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Trevecca Nazarene University catcher
Kendall Andrews is one of 120 NCAA Division II Softball Student-Athletes from across the country revealed as part of the 2024 Tucci/NFCA Division II Player and Pitcher of the Year watchlist.
Andrews is building an impressive resume this season hitting .456 with a 1.451 OPS, .903 slugging percentage, and a .548 on base percentage.
Andrews has scored 31 runs, with 47 hits, and has produced eight doubles, four triples, ten home runs, and has 49 RBI. She's walked 21 times and is 28-of-29 on stolen base attempts.
The awards list is growing for Andrews as well this season.

Over the last 12 games Andrews has raised her level of production. The team has gone 11-1 in that stretch fueled in part by Andrews .636 batting average. She's scored 18 runs, produced 21 hits with four doubles, one triple, five home runs, driven in 20 while drawing 13 walks and only one strikeout. She's been successful on 16 of 17 stolen base attempts. She played errorless ball defensively.
It's the second year in a row for Andrews to make the NFCA Tucci Watchlist and this year she's already hit more home runs and driven in more RBI than she did all of last season.
She's on pace to exceed every other significant offensive mark from last year, a year she earned All-Region honors with the NFCA and the D2CCA while also making first team Great Midwest All-conference.
Andrews is one of 15 from the Midwest region on the watch list.

NEXT ON THE DIAMOND
The Trojans travel to Midland, Mich., where they are set to take on the two teams that sit in the top three in the Great Midwest early season standings with the Trojans.
Northwood University (19-9, 6-1 G-MAC), currently third in the standings, is first with a scheduled doubleheader on Friday, March 29 starting at 12:00 PM CDT in Midland, Michigan. The Timberwolves were picked sixth in the preseason poll but have come out strong at 6-1 in the league. Trevecca leads the series 5-2 all-time, winning three of the last four.
A trip to Hillsdale, Michigan is on the slate for Saturday, March 30 when the Trojans face preseason G-MAC favorite Hillsdale College (18-8, 4-0 Great Midwest) for two games beginning at 11:00 AM CDT. Hillsdale leads the all-time series 12-5, winning four of the last six.
ABOUT THE WATCH LIST
The list is broken down into the eight NCAA Regions (Atlantic, Central, East, Midwest, South, South Central, Southeast and West) with up to 15 student-athletes represented in each region. The list is compiled by the elected members of the NFCA Division II All-American Committee with one head coach representing each of the eight NCAA regions. To be eligible, a student-athlete's head coach must be a member.
Voted on by the NFCA's Division II All-American Committee, the 2024 Tucci/NFCA Player and Pitcher of the Year Award will be announced on May 27 following the conclusion of the NCAA Division II National Championships. All student-athletes are eligible for the end-of-the-season award and do not have to be on this list to be considered.
