NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University STUNT team, the No. 1 seed at the 2024 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships, won both of their Pool B games today, advancing to Saturday's play undefeated. First, the Trojans won their first ever postseason game in impressive fashion, knocking off No. 8 seed Walsh University (4-12, 1-9 G-MAC), 19-0. In their second game, Trevecca defeated Mercyhurst University (7-8), 20-5.  
   
The Trojans, currently ranked No. 6 in the College STUNT National Poll, advance in Friday's Pool B Finals (Game 12) vs the winner of Game 10 (5:15 PM) between #4 Ursuline (5-6) and #5 Mercyhurst (7-8). The Pool B Finals are scheduled for 7:45 PM CT.

THE START OF SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY
The Kelly Quigley led Trojans won their first seven games of the year. It wasn't until their eighth game, against defending G-MAC champion and No. 6 Ashland University, the team tasted its first loss as a program. It was a one-point, 12-11, loss against the preseason favorite Eagles. A game hosted by Tiffin University and the Heminger Center, site of the 2024 G-MAC Championships. 
 
REGULAR SEASON GREAT MIDWEST CO-CHAMPIONS
That loss first loss proved to be the only loss TNU experienced in conference play. The Trojans finished in a tie with Ashland for the regular season title as both teams finished 9-1 and split their season series. When Trevecca avenged its lone conference loss to Ashland, a 14-12 win at the Music City Classic, the Trojans moved up to No. 6 in the national STUNT poll.
 
The Trojans and Eagles tied for the regular season Black Division and Hiram University won the Blue Division. 
 
NCAA DIVISION II STUNT NATIONALS
There's a lot to be decided before bids to nationals are decided, but not many thought the new start Trojans would be in the discussion to advance to nationals in their first year. The top seven teams make nationals, and the 2024 nationals are hosted by Missouri Baptist University in Creve Coeur, Missouri April 26-28, 2024.
