LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's golf team shot its second lowest round of the year in the opening round and finished the 2024 SVSU Invitational at the Kearney Hill Golf Links with a 293-299=592.
The finished with 29 birdies, fourth most in the field.
The 592 ties the season low 36-hole total.
The Trojans were 12th of 21 team after the first round, but finished tenth when the dust settled after the second round.

TREVECCA NOTES
MADDOX BURTON
Finished six-under-par on the par five holes, averaging 4.25 per hole, ranking seventh in the field.
In the second round, Burton recorded his best round of the year with a one-under-par 71. It is his second par-or-better round of the year.
The 36-hole total of 145 is his best of the year.
Burton led the team with six birdies and shot two over par on the opening day and was three-under par on the front nine.
The freshman collected five more birdies in the second round and had 11 over the two rounds, ranking second in the field.
ALEX HAMM
The sophomore finished 15th in the field with a one-over total on the par three holes, averaging 3.13 per hole.
Recorded another red number, he leads the team with par or better rounds this year.
Hamm was steady with three birdies and just one hole above par in the first round.
Had three more birdies in the second round to total six for the tournament.
WILLIAMS MOSER
Moser had four birdies and was two under on the front nine in the first round.
He added a birdie in the second round to card five for the championship.
CAMERON FLETCHER-SMITH
Finished 11th in the field with 24 pars.
Recorded two birdies in each round for a total of four for the tournament.
JOSH BRELAND
Shot a season best 74 in the opening round.
Breland had a birdie and 14 pars in the first round.
He added two birdies in the second round to hit three birdies over the 36-hole event.
