MEMPHIS – The Trevecca Nazarene University track and field teams opened the outdoor season with success at the Rhodes College Invitational at the Lynx historic on-campus Wolfe Track and Field Complex.
 
Molly Sims set another school record in the Hammer Throw, hitting 40.93 meters to finish 4th in the field of 20.
 
Samantha Roberts added to her record collection with a new Trevecca mark in the 1 mile Run, finishing second in a field of 52, crossing the line at 5:13.66.
 
Lucas Baggott notched another win, this time in the 400m Hurdles, besting the field of 14 with a new TNU record time of 54.17.

When Jadyn Marstella a 4.02m shot put in the women's open shot put on Saturday, she became the first Paralympic athlete to compete in Trevecca Track & Field history. Marstella is scheduled to compete again at Lee and Bellarmine.

The UAB Invitational follows in Birmingham, Ala. March 29-30.
 
The final two warm-ups for the post season is the Jim Fargo Invitational at Bellarmine University in Louisville, Ky. April 5 and the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific in Azusa, California April 11-13.
 
The Great Midwest Outdoor Championships are May 1-3 in Hillsdale, Michigan at Hillsdale College.
