Box Score 2 ALBERTVILLE, Ala. – The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (3-1) won a pair of games today at the University of Alabama Huntsville Charger Chillout at the Sand Mountain Park.
The Trojans beat Young Harris University (6-2), 6-4, to open play on their final day of the Charger Chillout. The Mountain Lions are picked to finish sixth in the Conference Carolina's Preseason Coaches' Poll.
The Trojans finished the trip with a 4-2 win over No. 12 UAH (4-3) on Friday The Chargers are picked to finish first the Gulf South Conference and won the GSC last year.
GM 1: HOW IT HAPPENED
TNU 6, Young Harris 4 - F
The Mountain Lions jumped out to an 3-0 lead with a three-run top of the first. Trevecca roared back with a run in the first and three in the second for a 4-3 lead. Young Harris tied it a 4-4 with a run in their half of the third. Trevecca added single runs in the fourth and sixth innings.

Addy Grace Summers went 3-4 with a double, a stolen base, and three RBI.

Sarah Nicholson went 2-3 with three runs scored and a walk.

Kyleigh Burgett went 2-2 with a run scored.
· Grace Halle Patton (1-0) got the win with 5.1 innings of relief. She allowed a run on five hits with three strikeouts.
GM 2: HOW IT HAPPENED
TNU 4, #12 University of Alabama Huntsville 2 - F
For the second game in a row, the Trojans fell behind in the first inning. UAH scored two in the home half of the first, but Trevecca charged back with a three-run second and added an insurance run in the third. The two teams remained scoreless the rest of the way.
Ashlan Sensing pitched a complete game allowing four hits, two runs, with three walks, and six strikeouts.

CHARGER CHILLOUT NOTES
This is the seventh consecutive year the Trojans have opened the season at the UAH Charger Chillout. For the third year in a row, the event is being played at Sand Mountain Park in Albertville, Alabama. In addition to playing in the event every year since 2018. The Trojans also played in the Chillout in 2015 and 2016.
NEXT ON THE SOFTBALL SLATE
The Trojans host the Music City Invitational Feb. 14, 16, and 17 at Cedarstone Park in Smyrna. Trevecca will play all of their games in the MCI on Field One.
On Friday, February 16 the Trojans take on Drury University at 10:00 AM followed by Gannon University at Noon.
On Saturday, February 17, the Trojans play the University of Purdue Northwest at 2:00 PM and Ferris State University at 4:00 PM.
On Monday, February 19, the Trojans play Quincy University, but that game is on the Trevecca campus, finishing out the Music City Invitational. The game with Quincy is the first official home game and the last home game until the Trojans host Lake Erie College on March 22.
Their game with Lake Erie is the first home Great Midwest game. Before hosting the Storm, the Trojans play their first Great Midwest game in Ashland, Ohio against the Ashland Eagles on March 15.
