MOBILE, Ala. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's golf team opened their spring schedules at the 2024 Ram Spring Invite hosted by the University of Mobile at the Robert Trent Jones at Magnolia Grove Golf Course. The teams played on The Crossings Course.
As a team the Trojans turned in a 293 in Monday's opening round, tied for the second lowest round of the year. The 293 placed them second after the first round.
William Moser was the low Trojan in the first round with a two-under 70. Maddux Burton came in at even par with a 72.
Maddux Burton stayed hot in the second round with a one-over 73, posting the team's second lowest 36-hole total this season with a 72-73=145.
William Moser is next with a 70-79=149. The team finished with a 293-307=600 through two rounds.
Monday featured two rounds and 36 holes of golf and on Tuesday the teams will finish up with a final round of 18 to complete the 54-hole event.

TREVECCA NOTES
WILLIAMS MOSER
The first round saw six birdies on the scorecard for Moser. He birdied three of his first four holes. He added two more birdies in the second round for eight birdies on the day. It is the second most birdies in the field.
His first round 70 is his second lowest round of the year and his second par-or-better round.
Moser is sixth in the field on the par five holes averaging 4.53 for a three-under par total. He's averaging 3.25 on the par three holes, 11th best in the field.
MADDOX BURTON
Burton had two birdies and an eagle in the first round. He shot even par in the first round, giving him his first collegiate par-or-better round. He was two-under on the front nine in both rounds on the day. Burton was steady all day, he carded an additional 22 pars.
The freshmen finished tied for third on the par five holes averaging 4.50 and is four under par. Burton finished sixth in the field on the par four holes with a 4.10 average.
ALEX HAMM
Had two birdies on the day, both in the first round. He shot even par on the front nine in round one.
Hamm collected the second most pars on the day with 23.
CAMERON FLETCHER-SMITH
Carded four birdies in the first round and three in the second for a seven-birdie day, fifth best in the field.
Fletcher-Smith finished tied for third on the par five holes averaging 4.50 and is four under par.
LUCAS BARRETT
Sank three birdies in the first round, all three on the back nine. He grabbed two more in the second round for a five-birdie day.
He also had one of the Trojans two eagles on the day.
Barrett is two-under par on the par five holes, averaging 4.75 per hole.
THE TEAM
The Trojans collected 17 birdies and an eagle during Monday's first round and added another 10 in the second round on Monday. Their 27 total birdies are tied for second in the field. The team leads the field with two eagles.
The Trojans topped the field on the par five holes, combining to post a thirteen-under par with a 4.68 average.
THE INDIVIDUALS
The Great Midwest Individual Medalist goes to the individual with the lowest final score.
NEXT FOR THE TROJANS
A final round of 18 will conclude the 2024 Ram Spring Invitational on Tuesday.
The Derall Foreman Invitational is next on March 4-5. It is hosted by Delta State University at the Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Miss.
The SVSU (Saginaw Valley State University) Spring Invite is March 16-17 at the Kearney Hill Golf Club.
The Trojans host their annual Music City Invitational April 15-16 on the General's Retreat Course at the Hermitage Golf Course in Old Hickory, Tenn.
