NEW YORK – The Trevecca Nazarene University track and field teams performed well today in the Big Apple at the Ramapo College Season Opener at the historic The Armory.
Three records fell today, all on the men's side.
First,
Zion Griffin, a freshman, not only set a school record, he won the 60m Dash in a time of 6.93.
The second school record came in the men's long jump where
Dayton Floyd leaped 6.30m for the new Purple and White standard.
The third on another strong performance from
Lucas Baggott in the 400m Dash, he finished third overall with a school-record 50:19.
The men's 4x400 Relay team (
Jadon Hickman,
Dayton Floyd,
Isaac Temko,
Lucas Baggott) finished fifth (5) of 22 teams at 3:28.70.
On the women's team,
Ashley Alsvig ran a 19:09.65 in the 5000m, good enough for third overall.
Molly Sims turned in a top 10 in the weight throw at 12.30m, just missing the school record of 12.35m held by Taylor Reid.
