Trevecca Golf | Director of Golf, David Head, Welcomes Five New Faces for the 2023-2024 Season

NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene University Director of Golf, David Head, welcomes five new faces to the program for the 2023-2024 season. There are two new golfers for the women and three on the men's side. Four of the five are freshmen and there is one transfer. 
 
For the women, its Audrey Reese (Richboro, PA / Council Rock High School) and Ava Pulley (Uniontown, Ohio / Green High School). 
 
The men welcome Lucas Barrett (Lexington Christian Academy / Lexington, KY), Maddox Burton (Uplift North Hills Preparatory / Irving, Texas), and Cameron Fletcher-Smith (King Edward VI High School / Morpeth, England).

AUDREY REESE | COUNCIL ROCK HIGH SCHOOL | RICHBORO, PA   
Height: 5-4

Interesting Fact: I play competitive golf, soccer, lacrosse and volleyball 
 
HIGH SCHOOL NOTES
Played for Greg Young and Carl Albrecht at Council Rock High School and trained with swing coaches Mark Walder and RJ Schebel … started all four years at Council Rock and served as captain three years … team MVP two seasons … qualified for districts all four years … won the New York Summer Junior Open, the 2021 Mid-Atlantic Regional … played in the 2021-2022 HJGT National Championship … named a 2021 All HJGT Team.
 
Why Trevecca? – "Of all the schools I considered, Trevecca was the first school that I got "that feeling." I knew instantly this was a place of safety, and a place easily called my "new home." 
 
David Head said, "We welcome Audrey Reese to Trevecca and our Women's Golf Program. Audrey comes from the Philadelphia area and is competitive. She's played a lot of competitive golf and we are confident she will have an immediate positive impact on the golf course for our women's program at Trevecca."

Interesting Fact: Have an identical twin sister who is also attending a school in Nashville!  
 
HIGH SCHOOL NOTES
Played for Jake Shockley at Green High School and trained with swing coach Cheryl Wyatt … is a two-time state qualifier, finising in the top 20 as a senior … finished top three in the Northern Ohio PGA as a junior … recorded a hole in one as a junior on No. 12 at Skyland Pines … won the Schorsten Memorial as a sophomore … selected 2023 All Northeast Ohio First Team.

Why Trevecca? – "I was comfortable when I visited and knew it was the right place as soon as I walked on campus. Nashville is one of my favorite cities and I am excited to be living here! I loved Coach Head and all the girls on the team. I can't wait for the next four years to get started!"   
 
David Head said, "Ava is from the Akron, OH area and was heavily recruited by other schools in our conference, we are elated she picked to play on the Hill at Trevecca! She had a successful junior golf career and we know she will be a fantastic player during her time here wearing the Purple and White!"

David Head said, "We are excited for Lucas Barrett to join us on the Hill. Lucas is an outstanding young man from Lexington, KY and we have no doubt he will a positive impact to our program, on and off the golf course. He is a big strong kid that hits the golf ball a long way. We are looking forward to watching Lucas succeed in his golf career at Trevecca."

Played for Uplift North Hills Preparatory school with swing training provided by Cliff Mishler four-time UNHP Golfer of the Year and District champion … 2022 Regional champion 140 (-4) and 2023 Regional Runner-up 144 (E) … three-time All Region team, earning State Qualification … finished fifth at 2023 4A State Championship 142 (-2) … produced seven tournament rounds under par.

David Head said, "Welcome to the Hill Maddox Burton! Maddox is from Dallas, Texas where he's had a wonderful junior golf career playing in some big events, performing well. He is a good athlete and is very competitive. We are certain Maddox will have a positive impact for the Trojans on the golf course immediately. We look forward to watching him have a wonderful career in the Purple and White."

Having a chance to play and with a team focusing on competitiveness week in and week out is what I have been looking for since coming to America. I don't believe there is a better place for me to do that, than Trevecca."
 
David Head said, "We welcome Cameron to the Hill, he is a transfer from McKendree University. Cameron's strength is a little age and collegiate golf experience at a competitive program. He also built a successful resume during high school in Europe. We look for a positive impact from Cameron on the golf course and around campus."
