SERIES HISTORY/NOTES

The Trojans had never lost to Lake Erie until game two and had a 10-1 record against the Storm.

HOW IT HAPPENED

GAME ONE REPORT:

Game one was a low-scoring event, as neither team could get their offenses going. The only scoring came in the fifth and sixth innings, where the Trojans tallied a run in both innings. Malone Thrift stole third base in the fifth and reached home on a Lake Erie error. Then in the sixth, Kendall Andrews reached home on a Gracie Kirby RBI single into right field to make it 2-0.

On the other side, Ashlan Sensing and the Trojan outfield kept Lake Erie in check. Ashlan Sensing posted a no-hitter as she did not allow any runs or hits while striking out five out of 22 batters in seven pitched innings. This is her second no-hitter this season.

GAME TWO REPORT:

Game two was a close battle all game long. After two scoreless innings to start the game, Lake Erie broke the ice with a single run in the third inning. They would double their lead to 2-0 in the fourth inning.

Trevecca's offense was held in check for most of the game, but they finally broke through in the sixth inning when Kendall Andrews scored on an error by Lake Erie off a ball put into play by Malone Thrift to cut the deficit to 2-1. But the Trojan's rally came up short as they were held to just three hits.
