Box Score 2 NASHVILLE- Trevecca Nazarene University baseball (22-16, 15-7 Great Midwest) hosted the University of Findlay (20-19, 11-11 Great Midwest) for a four-game series and fell in game one 8-3, then won 12-0 (seven innings) in game two of the series.

The series is tied 6-6 following today's split of the doubleheader.
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME ONE:
Findlay stormed out of the gate and did not look back. After tallying five runs in the first three innings, they added two more over the fifth and sixth innings. In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Trojans got on the board when Josh Seiler hit a two-run home run that scored Joey Parliment to cut it to 7-2.
Findlay added a run in the ninth, and Cooper Whitt scored on a wild pitch to respond, but the Trojan's deficit was too much to overcome as they were held to just two hits.
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME TWO:
Game two got off to a slow start as there were three scoreless innings to start the game. Then The Trojan's offense got hot in the fourth inning as they scored four runs. Cooper Whitt hit a two-RBI double, bringing in Bryant Goolsby and Josh Seiler for scores. Then Shawn Wallwork scored on a sac fly-out by Frankie Carreras before Cooper Whitt scored on a throwing error to make it 4-0.
Findlay's offense was kept in check all game and would be held to just one hit, which came in the fourth inning.
Trojan pitcher Jack Keele and the Trojans defense held Findlay scoreless in game two as Keele pitched a complete game shutout in the process while striking out eight batters.
In the fifth inning, the Trojans scored seven more runs to go up 11-0. Jacob Lester scored on a Josh Seiler RBI single, then Seiler scored on a Frankie Carreras RBI single. Josh Griffin was walked with the bases loaded, which brought home Bryant Goolsby to make it 7-0. Joey Parliment hit a three-RBI triple to make it 10-0 before being brought home on a Jacob Lester RBI single to round out the scoring. The Trojans put the game away in the sixth inning with a 12th run.

- Joey Parliment went 1-3 with a triple, three RBIs, and one run scored.
- Cooper Whitt went 1-3 with a double, two RBIs, and one run scored.
- Frankie Carreras went 1-3 with two RBIs and one run scored.
- Jacob Lester went 2-3 with a triple, an RBI, and one run scored.
- Jack Keele (5-2) did not allow a single run and held Finley to just one hit while striking out eight batters faced in seven innings pitched.
UP NEXT
The Trojans will head to Ohio Dominican (22-18, 14-9 Great Midwest) for a four-game series on April 28-29, starting at 2:00 PM. Trevecca holds a 9-3 lead in the all-time series. The Trojans have won the season series for two consecutive years.
