Box Score 2 NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University softball team (31-11, 15-3 Great Midwest) swept their doubleheader against the Cedarville University (17-23, 11-7 Great Midwest) on the Hill. Trevecca took the first game 5-1 and the second 2-1. The Trojans host Great Midwest leading Ohio Dominican on Saturday for Senior Day.

The Trojans are 29-7 all-time versus the Yellow Jackets, have won four in a row in the series, and are 7-3 in the last ten meetings.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME ONE REPORT:
Trevecca scored two in the third and one in the fourth for a 3-0 lead. In the third, Anna Bennett doubled down the left-field line to drive in Jessie Brown and Malone Thrift. In the fourth, Malone Thrift singled to score Sarah Nicholson.
Cedarville scored their run in the fifth. The run was unearned.
Trevecca came back with two more in the bottom of the fifth. Jessie Brown scored when Sarah Nicholson reached on a fielder's choice. Later, Carly Sperlich singled to left, driving in Gracie Kirby.
GAME TWO REPORT:
The pitching duel saw just three runs, two before the game-deciding Trevecca run in the sixth. TNU struck first with a run in the third when Azaria Jones singled to left, driving in Jessie Brown.
Cedarville evened the score at 1-1 with a run in the top of the fifth.
Maddie Poschke put the Trojans up when she drove in Alex Skinner on a ground out.
GAME ONE- CIRCLE & BOX NOTES
- Malone Thrift was 2-2 with a run scored, RBI, and a walk.
- Anna Bennett doubled and drove in two.
- Ashlan Sensing (15-6) pitched the complete game allowing five hits and no walks with six strikeouts.
GAME TWO - CIRCLE & BOX NOTES
- Alex Behnke (12-5) got the win in the circle with six innings of work. Behnke allowed five hits with two strikeouts.
- Ashlan Sensing (2) got the save with a perfect inning of work in the seventh.
UP NEXT
Saturday is senior day for Megan Walker, Jessie Brown, Catie McLachlan, Carly Sperlich, and Alyssa Triner, Ohio Dominican (21-14, 8-0 Great Midwest) will visit the Trojans for a doubleheader beginning at 12:00 PM. The Trojans are 10-9 versus ODU, but the Panthers have won six of the last ten.
