Box Score 2 CEDARVILLE, Ohio.- Trevecca Nazarene University baseball (20-15, 14-6 Great Midwest) wrapped their four-game series against Cedarville University (10-27, 5-15 Great Midwest), and lost in game three 2-1 (seven innings), then they won in game four of the series 14-12 (10 innings).

SERIES HISTORY/NOTES
Trevecca is 40-7 in the all-time series with Cedarville. They split last year's season series 2-2 and won this year's series 3-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
GAME THREE:
Game three began quickly as the Trojans struck first in the top of the first. Josh Seiler was brought home by a Cooper Whitt RBI single up the middle to make it 1-0. In the bottom of the first inning, Cedarville notched its first run of the game to tie it up at 1-1.
After the first-inning scoring, the game slowed down offensively as neither team could capitalize on the few hits they were able to manage. After four scoreless innings, Cedarville broke the tie in the bottom of the sixth as they managed one run to go up 2-1. The Trojans could not match them in the seventh as they were held to a single run and only six hits.
GAME FOUR:
The Trojans got going in game four as they scored the first five runs of the game. Jacob Lester scored on a Shawn Wallwork sac groundout in the first inning. Then in the second inning, Bryant Goolsby hit a solo home run to make it 2-0. Shawn Walleork brought Jacob Lester home again in the third inning when he hit an RBI single up the middle. Josh Seiler later got home during a Bryant Goolsby sac fly to make it 4-0. Then Shawn Wallwork rounded out the scoring off a Frankie Carreras sac fly.
Cedarville responded in the bottom of the third with a three-run home run to cut it to 5-3. The Trojans bounced back in the sixth and seventh innings. It started in the sixth with a Jacob Lester two-RBI triple that brought in Josh Griffin and Henry Mosley for scores. Then in the seventh, Shawn Wallwork tallied again off a Bryant Goolsby RBI single to make it 8-3. Cooper Whitt scored on an error by Cedarville, then Bryant Goolsby scored on a Joey Parliment RBI single to make it 10-3.
Cedarville began to rally late and scored four runs to get within 10-7. In the top of the ninth, the Trojans added a pair of runs when Henry Mosley hit a solo home run, and Josh Griffin scored on a Jacob Lester RBI single to extend their lead to 12-7. However, Cedarville scored five runs to tie it at 12-12 in the bottom of the ninth inning.
The Trojans rebounded in the 10th inning when Cooper Whitt scored on a Henry Mosley sac bunt and a fielder's choice. Then Alex Fernandez tallied the Trojan's 14th run on a sac fly by Josh Griffin to seal the win for Trevecca.

- Bryant Goolsby went 2-5 with a home run, three RBIs, and two runs scored.
- Henry Mosley went 2-3 with a home run, two RBIs, and two runs scored.
- Josh Griffin went 2-5 with a double, two RBIs, and two runs scored.
UP NEXT
The Trojans will return home for a single game against Lee University (21-17) on Tuesday at 4:00 PM. Lee University leads the all-time series 38-11 and has won all seven meetings since both teams moved to NCAA Division II play. Trevecca's last meeting with the Flames was a 9-8 win by Trevecca on April 12, 2022, at Jackson Field. The Flames lead the NCAA Era series 7-1.
After that, the Trojans will host a four-game series on Friday and Saturday against the University of Findlay (18-14, 9-7 Great Midwest). The series is tied 5-5 following last season's split, with the Trojans getting their first win in the series at Findlay last year.
