SERIES HISTORY/NOTES

The Trojans are 6-5 all-time against the Oilers, and the Trojans have now won five out of the last seven meetings. Including the previous meeting, a 5-1 win in the Great Midwest Championships, and now three in a row.

HOW IT HAPPENED

GAME ONE REPORT:

The Trojans got off to a hot start in game one as they tallied a trio of runs in the first inning. Jessie Brown began the scoring when she reached home on a Kendall Andrews RBI single into right field. Then Andrews got home on a Gracie Kirby RBI single to make it 2-0. Later in the inning, Alex Skinner scored off a Jaylah Edmondson RBI single into right field.

Following the Trojan's third run, both teams could not capitalize on their hits. There were four scoreless innings before Findlay got on the board in the sixth inning with a pair of runs to get within 3-2.

The Trojans got back to work, and in the bottom of the sixth inning, Azaria Jones hit a three-run home run that made it 6-2. Then Kendall Andrews hit a solo home run before Gracie Kirby rounded out the scoring on a Hannah Sundberg RBI double to extend the Trojan's lead to 8-2 and put the game away.

GAME TWO REPORT:

After Findlay couldn't score in the top of the first inning, the Trojans broke through with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning. Anna Bennett scored on a Gracie Kirby sac fly before Kendall Andrews reached home on a Carly Sperlich RBI single.

After the first inning, both teams went quiet for three innings as they couldn't get their offenses going. That was until the Trojans had an offensive explosion in the fifth inning. It all started with a Kaylee Adams score off an Alyssa Triner RBI bunt. Next, Gracie Kirby was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to bring home Alyssa Triner. Then Carly Sperlich hit a single that brought home Kendall Andrews and Anna Bennett on an error by the center fielder to make it 6-0. Alex Skinner scored on a Sarah Nicholson sac fly before Carly Sperlich scored on an Azaria Jones sac fly to force the run rule on Findlay.
